New Venue Opens Dowtown
Angie and Tom Green recently celebrated the grand opening of the new Ballroom. The venue is located at 1st and Detroit in downtown Tulsa. The is a first-class music venue and part of what the Green’s call the Quad, which includes Enso, an arcade and the Electric Circus.
Day of Dead Arts Festival
An altar to honor fallen soldiers will be featured along with Hispanic food, music and dancing at the 16th annual Day of the Dead Arts Festival Monday, Nov. 1, at Living Arts of Tulsa, 307 E. Brady St. The festival, set from 5 to 11 p.m., is open to the public. Admission is $5 per person, but children 12 and under are free.
USA Today Names Tulsa’s Oktoberfest a Top 10 Event
Tulsa celebrates the 32nd annual Tulsa Oktoberfest, which began Wednesday, Oct. 21 through Sunday, Oct. 24. This year the locally acclaimed festival was recognized nationally by Today as one of the top 10 North American places to celebrate Oktoberfest.

Tulsa Ballet Presents Classical Relativity
On Oct. 29-31 Tulsa Ballet will present “Classical Relativity,” described as “redefining all theories of time and space.” It’s an ambitious description and one that is suited to the expert dance and athletic abilities of the Tulsa Ballet. The performance will be comprised of three separate pieces: George Balanchine’s ‘Theme and Variations,” James Kudelka’s “There, Below,” and “Amade” by Massimillano Volpini.
