The sisters of St. Joseph Monastery elected Sister Christine Ereiser, OSB, as their new prioress during the monastery’s 2007 community meetings. Sister Christine will follow Sister Barbara Austin, who completes her term as prioress on July 1, 2007. The prioress of a Benedictine community is not only the spiritual leader of the community, but the president of the corporation. St. Joseph Monastery is located at the corner of 21st & Lewis.
Lucky Lindy Lands and Tulsa Municipal Airport Takes Off

ExpressJet Launches Service from Tulsa
ExpressJet celebrated its inaugural flight from Tulsa International Airport April 16. In attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony prior to passengers boarding were Tulsa International Airport Director Jeff Mulder, City Council member Roscoe Turner, ExpressJet Senior Director of Customer Service Ewan Barr and ExpressJet Vice President Fred Junek.

Arkansas Valley State Bank (AVSB) has announced the addition of Charles (Charlie) R. Martin to its lending team. As senior vice president and commercial lender, Charlie will be the senior officer managing the bank’s new Stone Wood Hills branch slated to open with a temporary building in approximately 90 days while construction begins on a permanent branch building. AVSB also announced the recent hiring of Kyndel Waters as business development officer. A native of Tulsa, Kyndel graduated from OSU with a degree in marketing and comes to AVSB with five years of sales and marketing experience. Community Bank and Trust Names Harmon Chairman
The Board of Directors of Community Bank and Trust elected Wesley M. Harmon Chairman at a recent board meeting. Harmon graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and began his banking career in his hometown of Clinton, Ark. in 1964. In 1985 he moved to Tulsa, joining Community Bank as vice president of lending. Harmon was promoted to manager of the loan department and senior vice president in 1987. The Board of Directors promoted Harmon to executive vice president and elected him to the Board in 1992.

Tulsa Press Club Names Linda Sponsler President
The Tulsa Press Club has elected Linda Sponsler of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma as its president for 2007.
Ziva Branstetter, projects editor of the Tulsa World, has been named vice president. Andrea Myers of Williams is secretary and Jake Dollarhide of Longbow Assets Management is treasurer.
