Northeastern State University has accepted an invitation to join the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. Dr. Don Betz, President, and Jeffrey Konya, director of athletics, made the official announcement.
Tulsa Country Club Undergoes Renovation
Tulsa Country Club is getting an $8.5 million facelift to its clubhouse and golf course.
A news conference was held recently at the club to reveal the $2.5 million newly-renovated clubhouse and to discuss the beginning of a $6 million renovation of the golf course.

LaFortune Park Opens New Clubhouse, Celebrates History
On Wednesday, June 23 Tulsa County celebrated the opening of the new clubhouse at the LaFortune Park Golf Course. The clubhouse is a project from the 4-to-Fix-the-County II capital improvements program. It offers all new amenities including an expanded pro shop and a full-service restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. It is open to golfers, park users and the general public. The 13,000 square-foot facility cost $3 million to construct.

Tulsa Drillers Launch to Top in Early 2nd Half

Tulsa concluded a grueling road trip to start the second half of the season with an 8-0 victory over the San Antonio Missions at Wolff Stadium. The Drillers finished the long eight-game, six-day road trip with a 7-1 record and moved into a first place tie with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals in the Texas League North Division second-half standings. If history holds true to the present, the Drillers should be vying for 1st place for the rest of the season.
