Plaza Del Sol Launches Concert Series
Plaza Del Sol, a shopping center located at the corner of Mingo Road and 101st Street South, will play host to a new summer concert series entitled Jazz on the Plazz. The series will be held on Friday nights from 7-9 and will lead off with a performance by award-winning Tulsa-based saxophonist Grady Nichols on June 3rd. Jazz on the Plazz will feature local and nationally touring performers and will showcase rock and other genres of music in addition to jazz.
Doug Collins, President of Collins and Associates Real Estate Management and one of the developers of Plaza Del Sol, believes Jazz on the Plazz will provide South Tulsa with a unique opportunity to experience live music in an elegant outdoor venue. “There just aren’t many good places to see live music in South Tulsa,” said Collins. “I think people are really going to enjoy listening to these great musicians play amidst the flowers and trees of the Plaza.” Attendees are encouraged to dine at one of the restaurants located in the shopping center beforehand and to bring a chair for the show. All ages are welcome. Admission is free.
Plaza Del Sol provides casual neighborhood dining and shopping in an upscale setting inspired by the Mission-style architecture of Southern California. Its tenants include Senor Tequila, Gusano’s Pizzeria, The Ridge Grill, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, Three Palms Wine and Spirits, Fast Fitness, Venetian Nails, T-Town Fitness, Glisten Dentistry, and Tulip Tree Gifts.
