Prelude to Winterset

PATRON PARTY: The Winterset Patron party was held at the home of Ashleigh and Tony Young Feb. 13. The party is a prelude to the Osteopathic Founders Foundation Winterset Gala, to be held this year Feb. 28 at the Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place. Winterset proceeds benefit the following:
Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to fund the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program which provides shelf stable food items each week to children at risk of hunger on the weekends and during school holidays. Emergency Infant Services to provide formula and baby food for families who are dramatically impacted by the precipitous rise in food prices and ensure the nutritional needs of their very young children are met.

Good Samaritan Health Services to fund the cost of diabetic testing strips and insulin for the 15 percent – 20 percent of GSHS patients who are at risk of developing unnecessary complications from diabetes due to their inability to pay for these life saving supplies.

W.L. Hutcherson YMCA to fund a nutrition education and obesity prevention program for at-risk children and families in north Tulsa where the average life expectancy is 14 years shorter than in south and mid-town Tulsa and where 76 percent of children report eating less than five servings of fruits or vegetables in a seven day period.

Osteopathic Founders Foundation Tribute Scholarships
Annual scholarships provided to osteopathic medical students recognizing academic achievement, community service, and dedication to the osteopathic medical profession.
