Price Tower Arts Center Announces 2014 Gala, “Bau” in the “Haus”

Price Tower Arts Center is pleased to announce its 10th annual fundraiser, “Bau” in the “Haus” to be hosted on January 25, 2014 at the Bartlesville Community Center. The main gala event will start at 7 p.m. in Community Hall, with a reception featuring the Jackie Myers band beginning at 6 p.m. in Lyon Gallery. Tickets are available now for purchase as well as reserved table sponsorships.

Building on the momentum of its previous galas, this year’s event will offer an elegant and festive evening with coursed dining by local caterer Pioneer College Caterers (), dancing and music. This event helps support Price Tower Arts Center’s mission of providing great art, architecture and design through exhibitions, preservation of Frank Lloyd Wright’s only realized skyscraper and its collections and educational programming for the community. This year’s event is inspired by the upcoming major exhibition, Bauhaus twenty-21: An Ongoing Legacy – Photographs by Gordon Watkinson also opening in January 2014.

The Gala Fundraiser will feature a silent and live auction featuring trips to a Delaware beach condo, golf outing, Key West, interior design consultations, fine jewelry, spa treatments and more. All proceeds from the auctions and ticket sales will go to benefit Price Tower Arts Center.

“We are so thrilled to be celebrating our tenth year hosting this fabulous fundraiser,” said Price Connors, gala committee chair. “Our committee has chosen to use local vendors for all our services from dining, floral, linens and décor. We want to support our small community businesses that continue to support us. The committee has also personally financially invested by purchasing a sponsored table.”

Connors and his volunteer committee includes Tracy Boles, Debbie Boruff, Jessica Butler, Vanessa Drummond, Cynthia Gasior, Linda Jones, Suzanne Jette, Beth Marable, Jean Oliver, Julie Pranger, Dana Roby, Darlene Shoemake , Theo Silas and Lynda Tippeconnic. Our honorary chairs are Catherine & Brad Lenhart and Cheryl & Jack Lenhart.

The fundraiser would not be possible without their help and major support from Bank of Oklahoma, Boles Jewelry, ConocoPhillips, Charlie & Julie Daniels, Jim Moore State Farm, Lenhart Family, Osage Casino. Phillips 66, Patricia Romines, CJ. “Pete’ & Theo Silas, Truity Credit Union.

Bauhaus twenty-21: An Ongoing Legacy – Photographs by Gordon Watkinson will be on display January 24, 2014 through May 4, 2014 at Price Tower Arts Center, 510 Dewey Avenue.
