PROMISING PROGRESS:

The Bank of Oklahoma Center, located in the northwest corner of downtown Tulsa at 1st and Denver, marked two years of progress in August. The project, which is part of Vision 2025, is scheduled to be completed in September 2008.
At the beginning of August, construction crews began putting up thousands of stainless steel panels to create the arena’s “outer skin,” as seen the photo to the right. The left photo shows an interior view of the Bank of Oklahoma Center. Construction of the arena’s suites began at the beginning of September. Other recent additions include the center’s two roof trusses, each weighing 176,000 pounds. Crews expect the building to be fully enclosed by the end of the year so interior work can be completed in early 2008.
