Quick Tillis is Tulsa’s Legend

James “Quick” Tillis, known to many as the “Fighting Cowboy” boxed for 30 years. Tillis fought the likes of Mike Tyson and Earnie Shavers and won three gold gloves. He has spent time as an actor, playing Buster in “The Color Purple.” Tillis is also an author and an entrepreneur. Quick’s autobiography is titled, “Thinkin Big: The Story of James “Quick” Tillis, The Fightin’ Cowboy.”
