Radcliff, Whitt Lead ORU at Husker Invite

Lincoln, NE— Kristen Radcliff and Jack Whitt were ORU’s top men’s and women’s finishers this weekend, as the track and field team put on another impressive showing at the Husker Invitational hosted by the University of Nebraska.
Radcliff notched the top finish in the women’s competition, finishing second in the mile run with a 5:05.66.
Cornisha Wilkerson also put on a strong showing with a fourth place finish (24:98) in the 200 meter dash, and third place (7.79) in the 60 meter dash.
Whitney Mills-Doyeto also grabbed third in the 400 meter dash with a 57.25.
Mills-Doyeto, Wilkerson, TK Whitfield and Miesha Dinkinsnabbed a strong finish in the 4×400 with a fifth place finish and a time of 3:50.13.
Camila Pirelli snagged third in shot put 12.42m and 689 points.
On the men’s side of the action, Whitt was back in the win column once again with a first place finish in the pole vault (5.37m). Not far behind was Dustin Gehrke, who placed fourth with a 5.07m.
Fredrick Brown earned second with a 15.55m in the triple jump and Seth Lewandowski placed fourth (10.59m) in shot put.
ORU is back in competition again on February 11-12 at the Iowa State Cyclone Classic in Ames, Iowa.
