Red Cross Tsunami Donations Increase
Americans have generously contributed almost $150 million to the American Red Cross International Response Fund. At the Tulsa Area Chapter, more than $105,000 has been pledged for tsunami relief.
To provide the most effective aid possible in the wake of the tsunami, the American Red Cross at this time estimates that it will require about $400 million to provide emergency relief and to respond to long-term needs that will emerge over months and years to come.
