Saint Francis Tulsa Touch Partners with VeloNews and Cox

Saint Francis Tulsa Tough is pleased to announce its partnership with VeloNews and Cox Communications to provide live streaming of the pro men’s and women’s races on VeloNews.com. “From the beginning, we’ve invested in our use of technology and video to enhance the event” said Malcolm McCollam, Event Director. “Last year we caught the vision of how we could take our event to the world and we are pleased to debut our broadcast on VeloNews.”

The event will have a full production truck and editing suite on site with five cameras cameras stationed on the course. Spectators will get to view the broadcast on two large screen displays stationed at the venue. Cox will also regionally broadcast the main races with a 1 hour delay.

“Cox Communications is honored to be selected as the Video Production provider again this year, and we’re excited to add our Broadband Internet Services to facilitate the “live streaming” distribution for this year’s Tulsa Tough. This addition will further showcase this very high caliber event and the Tulsa community”, said Tiffani Bruton, Director of Public Affairs, Cox Oklahoma.

In its sixth year, Saint Francis Tulsa Tough will be June 10th, 11th and 12th featuring top racers from the professional domestic peloton with more than $100,000 in prize money up for grabs over the three days of racing. Saint Francis Tulsa Tough has become a launch pad for many top professional cycling careers including Jason Donald and Shelley Olds. Two-time Men’s Pro winner and former National Criterium Champion, Charles “Brad” Huff, will be returning with his Jelly Belly p/b Kenda team to defend his title.
