Salvation Army Welcomes New Corps Officer to B.A.

The Salvation Army’s Broken Arrow Corps has welcomed a new officer. Lieutenant Mariah Deshazo, who was recently commissioned as an officer at the Evangeline Booth College in Atlanta, Georgia, began her new role on June 28 during the morning church services at the Broken Arrow Corps, 1400 W. Washington Avenue. Deshazo, who is originally from Maryland, connected with The Salvation Army as a teenager.
Deshazo spent some time as a youth ministry worker at the Cambridge, Maryland Corps before entering the Evangeline Booth College in August 2018. She recently received her ordination and commission as a Salvation Army officer and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. At the culmination of her training, Deshazo was presented the prestigious Principal’s Award, which is given to the cadet who best models a spirit of excellence, faithfulness, and servanthood.
