Savory Chef Goes to France

The staff of Savory Chef is conducting a six day tour of the south of France where staff will take participating clients to Provence, Cannes, Nice and other French cities.
Participants can travel the original wine country, abundant with grape, almond and olive groves. Those participating will shop for fresh regional fruits, vegetables, seafood, meats, spices and mouthwatering pastries and breads at the most noted open-air markets in the world. Savory Chef clients will also have the opportunity to prepare flavor-of-France meals in Julia Child’s house in Provence. Other attractions include dining at noted Michelin two-star restaurants and a tour of a cheese-ripening cave. Staff members at Savory Chef say this hands-on opportunity to learn the techniques and traditions of French cuisine is like no other trip.
Included is a five-week series of cooking classes at Savory Chef’s cooking school in preparation for the trip. Teacher Shelley Stokely has traveled extensively throughout France and Italy and will share the recipes and methods she has already learned.
The trip is scheduled for Sept. 9-15. Cooking classes in Tulsa are scheduled for Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. beginning in August. Cost for the trip is $2,750 per person.
