SCU to Hold First Ever Renaissance Fair
Southwestern Christian University will host its first ever Renaissance Fair Saturday, April 12 from 12:45-4 p.m. The event will take place on SCU’s campus, located at 7210 NW 39th Expressway in Bethany, Okla.
“We want to give back something to our larger community and have some fun at the end of the semester,” says Marilyn Hudson, director of Library Services and Renaissance Fair coordinator. “We expect many homeschoolers to be part of the event and are asking every booth to provide some educational information about their activity.”
Activities will range from strolling theatrics to face painting and egg dunks. A local Irish Step Dancing Group will perform outdoors from 1-1:30 p.m. There will also be a costume parade with prizes for the best-dressed adult and child.
At 4 p.m. the event will end with a “knighting” ceremony for youth attendees.

In case of rain the event will move into the Minchew auditorium, located on the west side of the campus.
