Seed Sower Lecture at OU-Tulsa

SOWING IDEAS: The Seeds Sower Series continues with a community lecture on early childhood education at the Perkins Auditorium on campus at OU-Tulsa, 41st and Yale.

The lecture, “Championing Children: Current Issues in Early Childhood Education,” is Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The event begins at 5 p.m. with an information panel of current OU-Tulsa students and faculty who will be available to talk about the early Childhood Education Program, then a reception in Founders Hall will follow and at 6 p.m. the panel discussion begins.
The four panelists are leading experts in early childhood education in the Tulsa community. The panelists are Felicia Collins Correia, MSW, MPH, chief executive officer, YWCA Tulsa; Steven Dow, executive director, Community Action Project of Tulsa County; Jan Figart, MS, RN, associate director Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa; Janet McKenzie, NBCT, teacher at Tulsa Public Schools.
The lecture is free and open to the public, but due to limited seating, registration is required. The lecture will take place in the Perkins Auditorium, OU-Tulsa Schusterman Learning Center, 4502 E. 41st St.
