Shock Sign Two Free Agents
TULSA, Okla. (June 7, 2010) – The Tulsa Shock waived 2011 second round draft pick Amanda Thompson and latest acquisition Ashley Walker on Monday and signed veterans Kiesha Brown and Jennifer Lacy.
Thompson was the Shock’s first ever draft pick out of the University of Oklahoma in the 2011 Draft.
Brown, an eight-year veteran out of the University of Georgia, appeared in 34 games last year for the Connecticut Sun, averaging 3.8 points-per-game in 11.6 minutes a night. Brown has also played for Los Angeles, Minnesota, New York, Houston and Washington.
Lacy, a four-year veteran out of Pepperdine University, appeared in 32 games for Atlanta in 2009, averaging 3.0 points in 11.3 minutes a game.
