SMG-Tulsa Honored With Facilities Magazine’s Prime Site Award
Tulsa, OK – March 11, 2010 – The BOK Center and Tulsa Convention Center are winners of the 2010 Prime Site award from Facilities Magazine, the number one source for professional planners of conventions, meetings, entertainment and special events.
The two SMG-managed facilities were chosen from thousands of buildings in the United States and Canada to win the 2010 award. Both facilities last won the award in 2009.
General Manager John Bolton, who oversees both venues commented, “It’s always nice to be recognized for these industry awards, especially for two consecutive years. The voters are professionals who notice the great amenities and service that we strive to provide to our clients.”
For over fifteen years, Facilities Magazine has been bestowing these awards to facilities. 2010 Prime Site Awards are based on the opinions of those in the industry directly involved with site selection, booking agents, promoters, talent buyers and special event planners.The Prime Site Awards are voted by the magazine’s readership of more than 51,000 Association and Corporate Meeting Plannersand an awards ballot ran in a recent issue and online at www.facilitiesonline.com.Any facility that received more than a set number of votes qualified as a Prime Site winner.
