CHANGING HANDS: SpiritBank Event Center was recently purchased by an Oklahoma company.
SpiritBank announced recently the purchase of the SpiritBank Event Center by MacPot, , an Oklahoma based Limited Liability Company whose primary focus is investing in real estate. The purchase does not include the Shoppes of Regal Plaza, which surround the center and will be retained, for now, with SpiritBank as the primary owner.
MacPot, stated that the great potential of the center and its location as a destination point with shops and restaurants led to the purchase decision. They plan to continue upgrades started by SpiritBank to realize the center’s full potential. MacPot looks upon this investment as an excellent opportunity for long-term financial returns in the Tulsa/Bixby commercial real estate market.
According to SpiritBank Albert Kelly, Jr., “We take seriously our responsibility to the community and are proud of our naming rights on the center. The circumstances of our acquisition and the condition in which the center was in at that time were regretful, but we’re excited about this new ownership. These new investors will continue to benefit South Tulsa and Bixby.”
Since its acquisition of the center, SpiritBank has contracted professional management and catering services, conducted studies on noise level and improved parking, and re-opened the pipeline for quality entertainment. MacPot intends to aggressively lease both the office and retail space in this dynamic event center with its outstanding location on Memorial Road. The owners also intend to bring in top performing artists and other events that are appropriate for the Tulsa/Bixby community for good, wholesome entertainment purposes.
Recent concerts featured Miranda Lambert and Eric Church. Lambert recently made country music history when she was nominated for nine Country Music Awards, a record for a female artist.
Before then, on Oct. 16, the center hosted The Classical Mystery Tour, a Beatles Tribute, with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra. The Classical Mystery Tour is a four-piece band featuring original members of the Broadway musical, Beatlemania, traveling with its own orchestra director.
Additional details about the purchase of the center are undisclosed.
