SportClips Student Athlete of the Month: John Carradini, Union High School

John Carradini is the January /SportClips Student Athlete of the Month.
Carradini was a four-year varsity football player for the Union Redskins where he has been part of three consecutive state championships. He primarily played fullback and tight end. He was named to the Academic All-Conference team this season.
Carradini is active in the Boy Scouts, earning the honor of Eagle Scout in 2007. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow, the Boy Scouts national honor society.
He ranks ninth in his class at Union with a 4.0 , 4.94 when graded with his AP classes.
Carradini is a Valedictorian candidate, Distinguished Graduate candidate, and AP Scholar with Honor and is a member of the National Honor Society.
The Distinguished Service Graduate candidate had racked up nearly 200 service hours on and off campus. He is a Children’s Church Program Leader at Fellowship Bible Church and a Vacation Bible School Teacher. Carradini is an active participant in the Redskin Aid program where members of the football team do acts of service in the community. He has played bingo with seniors citizens, helped clean sports fields and volunteered for an Alzheimer’s fundraising gala and with children with Down Syndrome.
Carradini plans to study pre-med with a focus on biomedical engineering in college in preparation for medical school. He hopes to become an orthopedic surgeon and practitioner of remote medicine.
He has been accepted to the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University and the University of Arkansas.
