Spring Jazz Concert Series 2007


If you are in for listening to some smooth, cool jazz music, stop by the Jazz Hall and relax yourself and catch:

Sunday, April 1 – “Pam Van Dyke Crosby – Jazzier Than Ever” One of Tulsa’s most favorite jazz artists.

Saturday, April 21 – “TU Jazz Day” – Allen Chapman Activity Center (ACAC – the Student Union). The special guest for 2007 is Russian pianist and SONY recording artist, Eldar. He is 20 years old and has been taken under the wings of jazz masters, Dave Brubeck, Marian McPartland and Oscar Peterson.

Sunday, April 22 – Harmonious Monk. One of the hot, new jazz bands on the Tulsa scene is Harmonious Monk and they will make their first visit to the Jazz Hall this season. They are also recent winners of the Tulsa World’s SPOT Music Award for Best Jazz Group in 2006.

Sunday, April 29 – Carson Wagner and Barron Ryan “Showcasing the Youth.” The Jazz Hall features two young pianists with talent to spare. Carson Wagner and Barron Ryan will light up the stage at the Jazz Hall playing a variety of music styles.

Sunday, May 6 – Rebecca Ungerman with Frank Brown Trio. What a treat to present the effervescent and infectious vocal stylings of Rebecca Ungerman. Along for the music ride is the Frank Brown trio.
