The birth of SpringLoaded Brewery is a new destination in the making, scheduled to open mid 2011.

The historic building was the Sand Springs Power Plant built in 1911.Try out the powerhouse of a restaurant scheduled to open mid 2011. SpringLoaded will also have a dynamite event center perfect for concerts and banquets.

The SpringLoaded Building, originally the Sand Springs Power, Light and Water Plant, is a vital part of Sand Springs history and strategically located at the corner of Main and Morrow. It is a complex building with an irregular shape and roofline that was built in several additions from 1911 to 1947. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and it is about ready to make history again.

Sand Springs is a happening place. Just a block to the south will be a massive Arkansas riverfront development. Plans call for the construction of a low water dam – creating an eight-mile long lake.

An accompanying pedestrian bridge and bike trail will link a proposed mixed use development area on the north side of the river with venues on the south bank. With approximately 42 miles of riverfront within Tulsa County, the Arkansas River offers a generous resource for the continuing development of outdoor recreation opportunities.

SpringLoaded is poised to lead this area of commercial development into a vibrant future with the formation of SpringLoaded District.

This locally crafted beer’s magic is derived from the original artesian water source for which Sand Springs was named. The beer is composed of the spring water and combined with distinctive fresh ingredients and follows the boundless vision of the owners.

The SpringLoaded Brewery will feature a 30 barrel stainless steel brewing system with the latest state of the art technology and equipment. This beer will be created with a personal old world, hands on approach. The Brewmaster’s team will be artfully crafting a premium product from day one.

Undeniably, the Dynamo Room defines the building as a whole. When built in 1935, this massive 8100 square foot room was designed to house three large dynamos to generate electricity. Now, this incredible space with its 50 foot ceilings, natural light, and 16 inch solid red brick walls will once again be generating a lot of energy and excitement. With seating for 750, the Dynamo Room will accommodate music venues, concerts, private parties, corporate functions, cultural events, shows, festivals and wedding receptions.

SpringLoaded Brewery will be designed, built and operated in a way that uses energy and natural resources efficiently and equitable, for both the present and future generations.

In addition to reusing the 1911 year old building itself, recycling of the materials used in the construction process is important.
