Stephanie Rogers Named to Rowing All-America Team
Tulsa senior rower Stephanie Rogers was named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association () Pocock All-America Second Team, as announced by the same organization. Rogers is Tulsa’s first rowing all-american since the inception of the sport at TU in 1996-97.
The honor recognizes the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains on the national level in women’s collegiate rowing. The honorees must have rowed in at least 75 percent of the current spring season’s races in a varsity boat, and are selected on their institution’s varsity eight finish within the country, coaches nomination and their 2k erg score.
Rogers, a senior from Stillwater was a member of the Varsity 8+ the last three years, and helped the Hurricane record wins over Kansas, Kansas State, Central Oklahoma and this season. She also guided TU to a fifth-place Grand Final finish at the 2012 San Diego Crew Classic and the 2012 Conference Championship.
Rogers was also selected to the All-South Region Second Team earlier this season.
