The 2005 Street of Dreams luxury home tour runs from Saturday, March 19 through Sunday, April 3 at Eagle Rock, an 83-acre premiere gated community at 141st Street and South Sheridan Road in Bixby. Proceeds from the event benefit the Alzheimer’s Association of Oklahoma and the Bixby Rotary Foundation. Eagle Rock developer Tom Wenrick says, “This event provides a venue for northeastern Oklahoma with a beautiful setting like no other. Eagle Rock features only 56 individualized one-half to 3-acre home sites on the last available mountain in the South Tulsa area overlooking the Arkansas River and the Tulsa skyline.”

Approximately four million Americans have Alzheimer’s disease. It is the leading cause of dementia, a condition that involves gradual memory loss, decline in the ability to perform routine tasks, disorientation, difficulty in learning, loss of language skills, impairment of judgment and personality changes. One in 10 persons over 65 and nearly half of those over age 85 has Alzheimer’s disease.

The Bixby Rotary Foundation has earmarked its portion of the proceeds to fund the amphitheater at Washington Irving Memorial Park at 139th Street and South Memorial Drive. The Amphitheater will be used for many years by community and school groups for outdoor plays, concerts and other community functions.

The tour features six luxury homes at Eagle Rock by such esteemed builders as Classe’ Homes, GoldStar Designs, Perfection Homes, Town & Country Construction, HC Homes, and Walterbach Homes. These estate homes range from 4,500 to 6,500 square feet and are priced from $450,000 to over one million dollars. Eagle Rock is located just three miles south of last year’s premier Street of Dreams site at Wenmoor. These magnificent tour homes will be fully decorated, furnished and landscaped showcasing the latest technology of products and services as well as design and textures.

Tour hours are 11 a.m.—7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m.—7 p.m. Sundays. Tickets will be sold at the gate for $15 or may be purchased at two discount ticket outlets, North Carolina Furniture Mart and Surfaces, for $12. On-site parking and free shuttle service are available.

The 2005 Street of Dreams is sponsored by Classe’ Homes, GoldStar Designs, Perfection Homes, Town & Country Construction, HC Homes, Walterbach Homes, Wenrick Development, Cox Communications, Jackie Cooper Imports, Grand Bank, Gold Bank, CDK Distribution, Inc., Surfaces, North Carolina Furniture Mart, Carrabbas Italian Grill, Pepsi, Southcrest, Arkansas Valley State Bank, Arvest Bank, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, McGraw Davisson Stewart, Hahn Appliances, The Market, Hope Lumber, Arvest Bank, Bixby Telephone, Natural Stone, Seasonal Concepts, Jack Wills, and dozens of caring and devoted volunteers.
