Summer Activities Abound in Greater Tulsa

This year, the Tulsa area has an array of educational and exciting summer camps for children of all ages to enjoy. From canoeing to dancing, the summer will be filled with endless activities until the school year begins.

Camp Raven will spread throughout 120 wooded acres and offer endless outdoor fun for all at Riverfield Country Day School. Camp Loughridge is also a wonderful option for families to consider. Boasting over 200 acres and three lakes, the opportunities for exploring are endless. The Christian-based experience offers crafts, swimming, canoeing, archery, challenge courses, court sports and games. Backpacking trips are also a popular opportunity. Camp Gilcrease will inspire all in attendance through beautiful art and creative expression. Making use of the resources at the Gilcrease Museum of Art, campers will learn how to create their own works of art during the weekly sessions. Miss Helen’s Private School is sure to bring unique educational opportunities to campers throughout the summer. The Tulsa Parks Department is also offering summer camps that will begin soon. Sports, games, art and field trips are being planned. Campers will have the opportunity to visit places such as Big Splash, bowling alleys and will catch the latest movies at theaters.
