Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus Welcomes Deke Sharon for Aca Jam
Singer, composer and a cappella teacher Deke Sharon.
The Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus welcomes Deke Sharon to Tulsa for the Aca Jam. Sharon is a singer, composer, arranger, producer, director and teacher of a cappella music. The Boston Globe called him “a one man A Cappella revolution.” Entertainment Weekly dubbed him “The Father of Contemporary A Cappella.” Known for his infectious cheerfulness, Sharon is best known for his work on “Pitch Perfect” and “Pitch Perfect 2.”
The Aca Jam will be held at Union High School Performing Arts Center, 6636 S. Mingo Road. On August 11 from 4:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. and August 12 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Registration is open for Master’s classes hosted by Sharon. There will be a reception Saturday evening, August 12. Sharon will coach the Talk of Tulsa Show Choir as it prepares to compete on the international stage in Las Vegas.
