TASM Launches Spring Break Camps
Tulsa, OK , – Get ready for some amazing memories and scientific fun as spring break lifts-off at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium.
It’s a week full of fun and educational events as the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium lifts-off Spring Break activities by featuring a new interactive exhibit, MEMORY. MEMORY includes interactive exhibits that demonstrate how and why humans remember, how memories change over time, and how and why some memories intensify while others are forgotten.
With more than 20 hands-on activities for all ages, visitors learn how people remember what they hear, see, touch and smell, and how different kinds of memories are stored or lost. When did you see your first airplane? What about your first planetarium show? Bring your family and friends to make new memories together during Spring Break at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium.
Other exciting week-long activities include; sidewalk astronomy, flight simulator lab, “test drive” a SEGWAY, and open cockpit seating for visitors.
You know it’s not Spring Break at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium without exciting one-day camps. On Monday, March 14, Tinkering! Campers design and experiment using LEGO®, mini motors and paint.
Tuesday, March 15, Exploring the Skies! Campers experience the challenges and excitement that pilots face through flight simulation and actual cockpit environments.
Wednesday, March 16, Robotics! Robotics is an exciting way to explore imaginations while campers discover science and technology. “Tech teams” invent, build and program robot(s) to navigate an obstacle course full of challenges. Students work as teams using LEGO® Mindstorms RCX.
