TCC Foundation Names 2009 Executive Committee, Trustees

Tulsa Community College recently named the 2009 Executive Committee and Trustees for the TCC Foundation at the annual dinner.
Tom McKeon, President of TCC, and Lauren Brookey, vice president of External Affairs, presented the 2009 appointments. Serving on the Executive Committee for TCC Foundation are Billie Barnett, Chair; Jim Cameron, Vice Chair; and Paul Cornell, Secretary/ Treasurer.
The new slate of trustees who will begin serving their first term in January 2009 are Tiffani Bruton, Cox Communications; John Gaberino, Jr., Gable & Gotwals; Alana Hughes, Charles & Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation; Sharon King Davis, Davis Management; Steve Mackin, Cancer Treatment Centers of America; Lou Reynolds, Eller & Detrich; and David Stewart, Cherokee Nation Enterprise. Returning Trustees include Rendi Black, Mark Buntz, Mike Cooper, Jim Dailey, Karen Davis, Jim Dunn, Ed Fariss, Ted Fisher, Brian Forbes, Yvonne Hovell, Jim Huntzinger, Phil Lakin, Jr., Donald F. Marlar, Larry Mocha, Susan Neal, John Nikkel, David Page, Joan Parkhurst, Pat Paterson, Henry Primeaux III, Charles Sexton, Mary Shaw, Tony Stacy, and John Wiscaver.
State Farm representatives Rendi Black and John Wiscaver presented a $25,000 check that will be matched by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to establish the State Farm Lectureship Endowment. Proceeds from the endowment will fund guest speakers and special events on the topic of business.
The TCC Foundation also thanked Ed Fariss, senior vice president of MidFirst Bank, who served as the 2008 Chairman. This year under his leadership the TCC Foundation funded over $435,000 in student scholarships and $470,000 in campus programs and facilities at Tulsa Community College.
