Ted Cundiff Named AVB Bank President & CEO


Bank announces Ted Cundiff has been named president and chief executive officer (). Cundiff assumes his role March 1, 2013. Most recently, Cundiff served as AVB’s chief lending officer () and senior executive vice president. He replaces Jim Boze, who after 40-years in the banking industry announced earlier this year that he would retire. Boze will remain with the organization through the end of February 2013.

“Ted Cundiff has extensive financial experience. He understands our industry and our community and brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as Bank’s president and chief executive officer,” says Kelley Rash, Bank chairperson of the Board. “We are confident that with Ted’s leadership, will be able to enhance our ability to serve, connect, and succeed with our customers and the communities we serve.”

Cundiff has more than 20 years of banking experience, with previous management experience related to commercial lending, cash management and commercial client services, wealth management, and retail branch operations and call center banking. Cundiff made his move to Bank in 2012 after serving for 13 years as president of SpiritBank.

Several local boards and organizations currently benefit from Cundiff’s business acumen, including the Oklahoma Council for Economic Education, Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation, Oklahoma State University Technology Business Development Program, StartUp Cup Business Model Competition, and Tulsa Community College () LAUNCH Program.

Being previously recognized as a State of Oklahoma Financial Services Champion by the Small Business Administration is just one of the many honors bestowed upon Cundiff during his career. He is a graduate of both Leadership Tulsa, Class 34, and Leadership Oklahoma, Class .

An Oklahoma State University graduate, Cundiff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing, with an emphasis in management. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University.

Cundiff and his wife, Latonya, are proud to call Broken Arrow home.

Founded in Broken Arrow in 1905, Bank is a fourth-generation family-owned community bank with locations in Tulsa and Broken Arrow.
