The LaFortune Tennis Center at LaFortune Park in Tulsa is undergoing a $2.5 million expansion and renovation project. Approximately $1.2 million has been pledged through Operation Facelift, a citizen-driven campaign supported by Tulsa County Commissioner Fred Perry and Tulsa County.

Nationally, tennis is the only traditional sport to grow in the past five years. Tulsa tennis is no exception. Over the past six years, court usage is up 76 percent and LaFortune Tennis Center can no longer accommodate the community demand.

Commissioner Perry says, “The additional courts will provide a multitude of benefits to Tulsa in the area of recreation, health and economic development. We will at last be able to compete with other tennis centers for the larger tournaments involving out-of-state players.”

For more information about Operation Facelift, contact the LaFortune Tennis Center at (918) 496-6232 or visit www.lafortunetennis.com.
