Texas-Based Sky Ranch Camp Opens in Northeast Oklahoma
Starting this summer, the Texas-based Sky Ranch summer camp will open a new facility at Cave Springs, located between Miami, Okla. and Joplin, Mo., just off I-44. Founded in 1955 by Mel and Winkie Brewer, Sky Ranch has hosted thousands of children over the last 50 years.
The new facility sits on over 250 acres nestled in the foothills of the Ozarks in Northeast Oklahoma.
Sky Ranch at Cave Springs offers both the “Sky Classic” summer camp for kids ages 7-13, and the “Quest” leadership development experience for young adults ages 15-18.
The “Sky Classic” program, for kids 7-13, offers 11 separate sessions of seven-day and six-night programs in a safe, spiritual environment at Cave Springs.
Activities include archery, crafts, adventure courses, Baja golf, riflery, camp carnivals and special events.
In addition, each child will be able to chose a specialty class like baseball, soccer, outdoor adventure, super track or even jump rope.
The “Quest” leadership development experience, for young adults ages 15-18, offers an even more daring and adventurous educational experience. Self evaluation, spiritual formation, and hands-on ministry opportunities are the foundation of this “next level” environment. This two-week camp located at Sky Ranch at Cave Springs and Ute Trail, Colo., puts young adults into an accelerated learning curve designed to unlock and foster leadership potential.
Sky Ranch at Cave Springs is designed to invest and further develop the character of child or young adults, all while giving them a great vacation.
Throughout each program, highly screened, well-trained summer staff helps the campers look below the surface, dig for answers, and discover the value of educational, recreational, and spiritual development opportunities.
Sky Ranch at Cave Springs is now enrolling for summer 2005 and can be reached at 800-962-2267. For more information, please visit www.skyranchcamps.com.
