The Hamlet Spices Up for the Holidays

FESTIVE FOODS: The Hamlet, with two stores in Tulsa and one in Owasso, has been serving Tulsans since 1986. It offers various holiday options for family dinners and corporate gatherings, including fire-glazed hams, honey-kissed turkeys, party trays and dessert platters.
The Hamlet has been offering honey-kissed hams year round since 1986.
Hams come specially prepared, spiral sliced, and fire glazed with honey and spices. Sizes start at six pounds, which serve 12 people, going up to 18 pounds, for 36 people. Prices range from $38 to $115. Turkeys can also be purchased between 10-14 pounds as well as honey-kissed turkey breasts.
The Hamlet has been family owned since 1990, starting with Gordon Pendergraft, until last year when his daughter Shannon Hester and her husband, Bryan, took over. “We would like to see it continue in the family,” says Shannon.
Corporate discounts are available for quantity purchases and make great holiday gifts for employees and clients. Gift baskets can also be purchased.
The Hamlet has two locations in Tulsa, 71st Street and Trenton Avenue and 91st Street and Sheridan Road, and in Owasso in the Smith Farm Marketplace. Specialty items are available at all three stores, including Stonewall Kitchen, Robert Rothschild and The Hamlet private label selections, like Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce. One notable addition to the menu this year is the Tabouli Spread, which Shannon says is a huge hit with customers.
Holiday meat, vegetable and dessert platters are also available as well as party baskets.
Customers can enjoy lunch at the 91st Street and Sheridan Road location and in Owasso. Lunch menu items can also be ordered on a party tray or in boxed lunches for the office.
Holiday hours during Christmas week are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lunch will not be served that week.
