Tickets on Sale for WNBA vs. USA Basketball


NEW YORK April 6, 2010 – Single-game tickets for the 2010 WNBA season will go on sale Thursday, April 8, at 10 a.m. local time in each team’s city.  In addition, tickets for this summer’s marquee event “WNBA vs. USA Basketball:  The Stars at the Sun” will also be available for purchase that same day.   

Fans can purchase tickets for regular season games and The Stars at the Sun online at Ticketmaster.comor WNBA.com/tickets, or call 1-877-WNBA-TIX. Tickets will also be available at team box offices, Ticketmaster outlets, and at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. 

The WNBA will tip off its 14th season on Saturday, May 15 and select teams will feature special ticket packages that include premium giveaways, food vouchers and family packs during the first week of the season.  For information on all WNBA teams’ plans and activities for the upcoming season, visit WNBA.com and individual team web sites. 

The Stars at the Sun will showcase the world’s best female basketball players under one roof when the WNBA’s top talent faces the USA Basketball Women’s National Team.  This special event, hosted by the WNBA and the Connecticut Sun, will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on Saturday, July 10.     

The on-sale date coincides with the 2010 WNBA Draft presented by adidas, which will be televised live on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. ET.
