Lady Antebellum will be a special guest on the entire tour and The Lost Trailers will open the show in Tulsa. Lady Antebellum took country music by storm with the release of their now PLATINUM certified debut on Capitol Records Nashville in 2008, which spawned the hit singles “Love Don’t Live Here” and “Lookin’ For A Good Time” as well as the GOLD certified #1 smash “I Run To You.” With “Best New Artist” trophies from both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music in 2008, two GRAMMY® nominations for the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards and countless other award nominations, it comes as no surprise they were the only country act recognized as one of iTunes’ Best New Artists of 2008.
Lady Antebellum’s current single “Need You Now” is the fastest rising single of their career quickly setting the pace for their upcoming sophomore release NEED YOU NOW on sale in stores now. BNA Records’ The Lost Trailers were named “Most Played New Group” in 2008 (Mediabase). Their album’s title track, “Holler Back,” stayed in the Top 10 for over a month last summer and their latest single, “Country Folks Living Loud,” is climbing the charts.
Outback Steakhouse will present the “Southern Voice” tour and the Fritos brand from Frito-Lay is associate tour sponsor. Sharing McGraw’s commitment to helping others, Outback Steakhouse, theinnovative restaurant chain, and Fritos, one of America’s most loved brands, see the partnership as yet another opportunity to strengthen the communities they are part of. The two sponsors will join forces with Tim to raise funds for The Neighbor’s Keeper Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, a charitable fund created by Tim and his wife, Faith Hill.
“This partnership is truly a natural fit as Outback and Tim both share the commitment and passion of giving back to our communities,” says Jeff Smith, president of Outback Steakhouse, which will also raise funds along the tour route for Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) and other local charities.
With Southern Voice, McGraw once again pushes the bounds of his artistry with characteristic honesty, grit and soul, qualities that have throughout history exemplified the Southern voice. Recorded in Nashville with his longtime producer, Byron Gallimore (Faith Hill, Sugarland), Southern Voice is McGraw’s first studio album in two and a half years, following Let It Go, which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 in April of 2007. McGraw gave the title track, its national television debut on “NFL OPENING KICKOFF 2009 PRESENTED BY EA SPORTS,” which was simulcast on NBC and NFL Network.
McGraw has sold over 40 million units and dominated the charts with 30 #1 singles. He’s won three GRAMMYs, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, 10 American Music Awards, three People’s Choice Awards and numerous other awards. McGraw is featured on the cover of the November issue of Men’s Journal, which is on newsstands now.
His multi-faceted career also encompasses film. McGraw launched an impressive acting career with 2004’s “Friday Night Lights,” which he followed with “Flicka” (2006), “The Kingdom” (2007) and “Four Christmases” (2008). He co-stared with Sandra Bullock in the film “The Blind Side” in theaters now.
