Top Seven Fall Fashion Trends

Use these seven must haves this season in combination with each other to stay on trend. Remember to pay attention to fit while combining textures, sheen and color. See what looks you can achieve when you layer on the style and step out in fashion.
1) Pizzazz Up Your Color Palette
From plums, metallic and neon’s to textures like plaids, skins and pattons. Deepen and liven up your style this season with rich pops of color. Layer these hues with the new neutral this fall, grey as well as other neutrals you may already own.
2) Get A Leg Up
If your legs are your best assets it’s time to cash in and even if they’re not, you can utilize this trend by covering up. Tights, leggings, knee-hi’s and legwarmers are where it’s at this season. For a more mature look combine a pencil skirt with lightly textured tights in burgundy or plum or a longer legging with buttoning at the bottom that allows the legging to fall over your footwear to elongate the leg. For the generation of 35 years old and under go for a mini layered with a brighter tight or playful knee-hi in prints of bold stripes or argyle.
3) Tie One On
This is perhaps one of my favorite trends of the season. By Adding this accessory your can achieve layering that is chic and inexpensive. It is a great way to stay on trend and is something everyone can wear. Scarves and wraps can be fun and flirty or sleek and sophisticated and come in a variety of shapes, fabrics and textures.
4) You Can Leave Your Hat On
Another chic and inexpensive way to jazz up any dull ensemble: Fedoras, knit caps, berets and train caps give plenty of variety so that you can find the perfect fit for your style. Experiment with different colors, hat bands and styles and let your hair down, leave your hat on and step out in style.
5) Get Your Foot In The Door
Look for my two top picks this season with a new twist. The peep toe bootie and new Mary Jane, try in skins, metallic or pattons. These two newbies will go with any ensemble and the only footwear you’ll need to add to your wardrobe to keep on trend.
6) Button It Up
Menswear inspired pieces like vests and shrunken blazers are a perfect layering piece. Pair with a white cotton button down or pop it with color by adding a silk tie-neck blouse. Layer it on with a shrunken textured blazer that has feminine touches like puff sleeves and cinching at the waist.
7) A Coat Of A Different Color
Leathers, trenches, pea coats and sweater coats provide the perfect approach for what it’s about this season, which is popping the color and layering it on. Try leathers in metallic or patrons. Trenches, pea coats and sweater coats are easy to sport in jewel tones of emerald or ruby.
