TPS Considers Armed Guards
The Tulsa Regional Chamber and Tulsa Public Schools hosted a forum on school security Feb. 14 that featured Tulsa Public Schools Police Chief Gary Rudick and Ident-a-kid Rick Hagen. Ident-a-kid is a security measure currently implemented in 25 of the 74 school sites. Above, Rudick encourages placing an armed guard at each school site as opposed to arming teachers.
