TPS JROTC Cadets Storm HelmZar Challenge Course
Tulsa Public Schools JROTC students are spending this week at summer camp at Camp Gruber. One day of their activities includes taking on ’ world-class challenge course at HelmZar. Approximately 180 cadets each day will participate in team- and character-building exercises.
According to Carrie Waisner-Taylor, challenge course manager, they will have groups of students doing ground level and high events simultaneously. HelmZar is bringing in extra instructors, as the number of students will challenge the capacity of the course.
The cadets arrive June 23 and June 25 at 9:00 a.m. with some climbing the high courses by 10:15 a.m.
The staff at HemlZar welcomes news reporters and photographers and will safely guide them through the high elements upon request. Please contact Carrie Waisner-Taylor at 595-2864.
