TPS Strives to Teach for the Stars
Tulsa Public Schools is offering media training sessions to volunteers.
Teacher training sessions will prepare volunteers to substitute teach in the urban classroom setting. Go through the course to gain deeper insight for your reports about , or to volunteer to make a difference in the lives of Tulsa’s young people. Training includes an hour each of processing, instructional strategies and classroom management.

Teach for the Stars was created to help deal with continuing cuts to the current budget. The district is looking at more than $5 million budget deficit, with even deeper cuts expected.
Teach for the Stars volunteers will help save the $400,000 while ensuring continued quality in the classroom.

Thursday, January 21, 1-4 p.m. at Kendall-Whittier, 2601 East 5th Place
