TPS Students Celebrate Preparedness
Owen Elementary students recently celebrated the completion of the Ready Kids Program. Teachers incorporated a variety of fun activities into their classrooms to teach students the importance of being prepared in case of emergencies. Radio Disney’s Road Crew celebrated with students by holding contests. Students had the opportunity to wrap up their teachers, compete in relays and dance to win prizes. Special visitors included Kerry Pettingill, director of the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security; Brook Borden Arbeitman, public affairs coordinator and Lacey Callahan, assistant public affairs coordinator.
