TU College of Law Recently Honored
The University of Tulsa College of Law has been recognized as one of the nation’s most outstanding law schools, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company features the school in its just-published 2010 edition of “Best 172 Law Schools.”
“Best 172 Law Schools” contains two-page profiles of each school with write-ups on academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for academics, selectivity and career placement services, as well as testimonials taken from student surveys. In the profile on the TU College of Law, the Princeton Review editors say the school educates “lawyers who will impact their communities in a positive manner.”
“The Princeton Review profile highlights the quality work taking place at the TU College of Law,” says Janet K. Levit, dean of the TU College of Law. “This recognition is especially meaningful as it represents feedback from our students.”
The editors cite the school’s professors and specific programs for its success.
“No one has ever found a time when professors aren’t available outside of class to help with questions or difficulties,” the profile states. “Even in large classes, professors tend to know students by name when outside of the classroom.”
The profile includes feedback from TU College of Law students, who mark the law school experience among the school’s strongest features. “Relations among students are terrific,” one student comments.
“There is always something going on and families are welcome to come together,” says another.
