TU Gets a New ‘U’ and More
RIBBON CUTTING AT THE ‘U’
October 2 was the official opening of the new U, the University of Tulsa’s new south entrance along 11th Street.
With the snip of the ceremonial ribbon by several members of the community, the new U opened in time to welcome TU alumni to a new campus look complete with a circle drive on Tucker, the five acre Chapman commons and the Genave King Rogers fountain. H.A. Chapman Stadium opened in September, Collins Hall, Case Athletic Complex, Mayo Village and Lorton Village opened last August and Bayless Plaza opened in August 2006.
