Joe Harwood and the family of marinas making up Arrowhead Boat Sales, including Arrowhead Yacht Club, the Cherokee Yacht Club, Hammerhead Marina, Arrowhead South and Cedar Port Marina, recently announced the addition of Regal Boats to their already long list of boat lines they represent. The introduction of Regal Boats from 30 feet and up will fill a void in the cruiser line over the past few years. The unveiling of the line was held on Night at the Tulsa Boat, Sport & Travel Show Jan. 28.

Harwood says, “Regal builds boats from 19’– 52’in length. Our focus will primarily be the 30 and up segment of the market. We chose Regal after an extensive search over the past four years for the best possible cruiser line to market here in Oklahoma. We considered and looked at all the major cruiser boat companies.”

He adds, “We chose Regal for several reasons, but at the top of the list is their longevity in the business, being founded in 1969, and the fact they have grown to be one of the largest family owned and operated boat manufacturing companies in the world with factories in Orlando, Fla. and Valdosta, Ga. Their operation has a combined 850,000 square feet and as many as 700 employees and associates.”

The company has been recognized repeatedly for its pride in quality and craftsmanship, having been the recipient of numerous J.D. Power and other industry awards. Their attention to detail, quality and affordable pricing is documented by their rising market share in the cruiser category. While other top cruiser manufacturers have seen a diminished market share, Regal has risen to an all-time high. In the 35’Sport Coupe category, 39 percent of all cruisers sold were built by Regal.

Harwood further explains their choice of the Regal Cruiser line by saying, “The moral compass of the ownership and staff of the company sets them apart from other cruiser companies we considered. Today, under the leadership of brothers Duane and Tim Kuck, second-generation ownership that grew up with in the Regal Boat Company, they have introduced an outstanding line of new generation cruisers and runabouts that are the toast of the industry. Regal’s mission statement sums up their commitment to their staff, dealers, and Regal owners, ‘With God’s help and a steadfast commitment to integrity, we will develop a team of exceptional people and relationships to provide exceptional customer satisfaction.’ Well stated and they live it!”

Home Port on Grand Lake for the Regal line will be located at Cedar Port under the direction of Jerry Cookson, who says this about the new opportunity: “I am so happy to head up Regal Sport Coup Yachts and Sport Boats at Cedar Port. To represent a family owned business is nice and selling out of a family-owned marina is even better. We are currently modernizing our ship store facility and making it an even more enjoyable place to do business.”

Cookson adds, “At the Tulsa Boat, Sport & Travel Show, we had six different models on display ranging in size from 27 to 42 feet. I thank everyone who came to the show and compared Regal to every other boat in the building. Especially cruisers.”
