Tulsa County Clerk Recount Set for Sept. 6
A recount of the ballots cast in the August 28, 2012 Republican primary election for the office of County Clerk will be held on September 6, 2012. The recount will be conducted by the Tulsa County Election Board and take place in Courtroom No. 408 in the Tulsa County Courthouse.
According to a petition filed with the Tulsa County Election Board, candidate Dean Martin is requesting a recount based on irregularities in over 200 absentee ballots. Irregularities were found in the following categories: lack of Notary stamp or seal, mis-matched Notary dates, expired Notary stamps, no witnesses addresses, no assistant signature, ballot notarized by family member, and other absentee ballot irregularities.
