Tulsa County Parks Presents The 2010 Chandler Park Sunset Concert Series


Tulsa County Parks presents the 2010 Chandler Park Sunset Concert Series at Tulsa County’s largest natural outdoor concert venue this summer. The Concert Series will feature Tulsa’s best bands and introduce opening acts by four of Tulsa County’s best youth talent.

The series kicks-off with the Jon Glazer Trio, with opening act The Steppes on Friday, June 25. Cool down Friday, July 30th with The David Dover Band and opening act Molly Blanton. The Fabulous Midlife Crisis Band will “rock the hill” on August 20 and will open with Sapulpa’s own Fairview. The season ends with Rebecca Ungerman (an evening of Comden and Green) with jazz opener Jordan Hehl, on Friday, September 24.

“We’ve really stepped up this event for 2010. Our motivation is to reintroduce the Chandler concerts to Tulsa County with a new attitude” said Frances Dodson, PR Coordinator for Tulsa County Parks. “As a result of our heightened commitment, we’ve received a great deal of support from the Tulsa County Board of Commissioners, Tulsa County Park Board, local businesses, and civic-minded volunteers.”

Concerts are from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Food and beverage concessions will be on site. For more information call the Tulsa County Parks Department at (918) 596-5981. Concert series sponsorships are available throughout the summer.
