Tulsa Football Gets Three National TV Games for 2010
TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa football team will appear on national television three times in the 2010 season, with the possibility of a fourth game.
Game times for four Tulsa home games have also been established. Tulsa’s first three home games –– Bowling Green (Sept. 11), Central Arkansas (Sept. 25) and Tulane (Oct. 16) –– have been set for 6:00 pm (CT). A nationally televised game against Southern Miss in the season finale has been moved to Friday, Nov. 26th at 5:30 pm. Game times for Tulsa home games on Nov. 6th against Rice and Nov. 20th against UTEP have not yet been set.
The Oct. 16th home game against Tulane is Homecoming for the Golden Hurricane.
Tulsa will open the season on Sunday, Sept 5th, with an ESPN game at defending Conference USA champion East Carolina. The Hurricane will open up the season against the Pirates first-year Head Coach Ruffin McNeill. Game time is set for 1:00 pm (CT).
The Hurricane will have two games televised by the CBS College Sports Network. A November 13th showdown against C-USA West Division rival Houston will be aired on CBS C at 7:00 pm (CT) in Houston, Texas. The game last year came down to a last second field goal that saw the 13th-ranked Cougars take home a 46-45 victory.
The regular season finale against Southern Miss will also be televised on CBS C. The game time is scheduled for 5:30 pm (CT) at Tulsa’s H.A. Chapman Stadium.
Tulsa’s home contest against UTEP is a 12-day out selection by CBS C, meaning that the Nov. 20th contest could be selected for television 12 days from the game date.
Tulsa will conclude spring drills on Saturday, April 17th with Spring FanFest at H.A. Chapman Stadium. Entertainment with a live band, inflatable games and food will begin at 4:30 pm on Thomas Plaza (east side plaza of the stadium). A Legends game will begin at 5 pm on the stadium turf.
