Tulsa Housing Search Website Launched
The City of Tulsa, One Economy Corporation, Tulsa Housing Authority and the Community Action Project of Tulsa County are pleased to announce the launch of a free housing locator linking people with rental housing in the City of Tulsa. TulsaHousingSearch.org – a web-based service supported by a toll-free, bilingual call center – lets landlords advertise properties free of charge, while renters can search for free to find rentals that fit their needs.
Properties listed on TulsaHousingSearch.org include a wide range of publically assisted and private, scattered-site housing. Prospective tenants can search for rentals according to specific needs, such as proximity to medical facilities, public transit and schools. Listings can be sorted by rent amount, ZIP Code, date available and other important factors. TulsaHousingSearch.org offers landlords 24-hour access to managing, adding and updating property listings, and listings can highlight amenities and include photos.
“Access to affordable housing is critical to our economy and to the health of our community,” Mayor Dewey Bartlett said.“We believe this service will greatly assist Tulsans in locating the housing they need and encourage property providers to list available units and help make this site valuable to the community.”
TulsaHousingSearch.org is a service that will soon be part of the ongoing Tulsa Beehive, an internet gateway site that will offer links to job services, resume building, insurance information, family and community education and housing and financial management tools. The Tulsa Beehive is a component of the Bring IT Home-Tulsa initiative.
TulsaHousingSearch.org is powered by Socialserve.com, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit dedicated to serving the affordable housing needs of communities and the national leader in affordable housing locator services.
Tulsans can search www.TulsaHousingSearch.org online 24 hours a day or call a toll-free, bilingual call center for assistance: 1-877-428-8844, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
