Tulsa Oilers Host Stanley Cup Watch Party

Former Tulsa Oilers broadcaster Tim Saunders is getting set to broadcast the Stanley Cup final as the radio play by play broadcaster of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Saunders was the Oilers broadcaster for the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons. The Flyers are in the Stanley Cup final for the first time since 1997, playing the Chicago Blackhawks, in their first final since 1992. Philadelphia won the last game of the regular season in a shootout to qualify for the playoffs, then in the second round of the playoffs overcame a three games to none deficit against the Boston Bruins. They also trailed game seven 3-0, becoming only the third team in history to overcome a 3-0 deficit to win a series.

The Oilers will again be hosting Stanley Cup Final watch parties at River Spirit Casino. Head coach Bruce Ramsay will be in attendance.
