WELCOMING VISITORS: The Tulsa Osage Casino buffet staff welcomes visitors to enjoy the excellent cuisine.
For lunch this week, escape to Italy. Or Mexico. Or China. Or New Orleans. Depending on which day of the week you choose, you can enjoy the culinary fares of these areas (plus more) simply by taking the short drive to the Osage Casino in Tulsa.
“Every day is a different food theme from around the world,” says Chris Barton, public relations specialist for the casino. “And what many people don’t realize is we are just minutes from downtown Tulsa.”
The casino recently renovated its buffet and features international style menu options each day along with catfish, macaroni and cheese, roast beef, fried chicken, vegetables, fresh soups and salads. The buffet offers a variety of desserts including ice cream.
Monday is Italian; Tuesday is Mexican; Wednesday is Cajun; Thursday is Asian; Friday is Soul Food (lunch) and Surf and Turf (dinner); Saturday is Caribbean (lunch) and Surf and Turf (dinner); and Sunday is barbeque.
“You will find food on our buffet that you won’t find on any other casino buffet or other buffet in Tulsa,” Barton says. “It’s unique and very affordable.”
The casino serves lunch seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $9.95 per person. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $11.95 per person. Surf and Turf is Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. for $19.95 per person. The buffet seats 140 people in a non-smoking atmosphere. “It’s an excellent food value,” Barton says.
The casino has a new chef and sou chefs to support the menu offerings who are always working to create new dishes while maintaining local favorites.
Jesus Lorenzo joined the Osage Casino as executive chef in January and operates the buffet. He has more than 20 years of experience in serving as the executive chef for industry-leading hotels, resorts and casinos, and operating his own food and beverage company. He came to Tulsa from Harlow’s Casino and Resort in Greenville, Miss.
As well as visiting the casino for lunch, the casino has a new 17,000 square foot event center available for corporate events and meetings, banquets, private parties, weddings and receptions.
“We have flexible room setups, state-of-the-art A/V services, on-site catering, a conference room and a 1,500-square-foot outdoor patio,” says Barton. “We also have expert meeting planners who’ll walk you through the process, step-by-step.”
The Tulsa Osage Casino is located at the end of the Tisdale Expressway at 951 West 36th Street North in Tulsa. The phone number is 918-699-7614.
