Tulsa Raceway Spring Nationals Revved Up


TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Raceway Park Spring Nationals revs up May 14-16, 2010 for the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series South Central divisions second of five events. The event is also the 12th of 39 scheduled across the country where drivers earn points leading to divisional and national championships as well as a chance at a share of the year-end purse of more than $560,000.

Gates at Tulsa Raceway Park open at 8 a.m. each day. Top Dragster, Comp Eliminator and Top Sportsman qualify twice on Friday at noon and 5 p.m. and have two sessions on Saturday at noon and 5 p.m.  Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car have one qualifying session on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and two on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.  Eliminations begin Sunday at 9 a.m. with Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car running round 1 at noon.

In a special exhibition match race Jack Wyatt has challenged 2007 Sooner Nationals Champion Dale Creasy, Jr. to a $20,000 “Winner Take All” match race to be run on Saturday, May 15. In addition to this fantastic show, Shirley “ChaCha” Muldowney will be at the track on Saturday, signing autographs and taking pictures with the fans. You won’t want to miss meeting a legend of drag racing at Tulsa Raceway Park!

Tickets for the Tulsa Raceway Park Spring Nationals are $20 Friday, $20 Saturday and $20 Sunday.  Children 6 to 15 years old are $5 Friday, $5 Saturday and $5 Sunday.  Kids 5 and under are admitted free with a paid adult.
