Tulsa Reycling Customers to Get Additional Pickups With New Recyling Collections Contractor
TULSA, Okla. – The City of Tulsa has awarded the contract for curbside collection of recyclables to RR Waste Solutions which will take over the recycling collections on June 1st. That service has been provided by TRI Inc. since the program’s inception.
The new contract calls for a collections to be made every two weeks instead of twice monthly. That will result in two additional pickups per year for each of Tulsa’s 14,000 curbside recycling customers.
RR Waste Solutions will apportion the city into 10 collection routes. Letters are being mailed to customers on each route to explain changes in pickup days.
Customers will continue to use the same bins and the same materials are eligible for recycling. Those include
newspapers
junk mail
magazines
office paper
plastics (labeled 1 and 2)
glass
