Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors Offers High School Camps

The Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors are looking for high school aged athletes to join their competitive high school program. The team regularly competes on the national level and club athletes are traditionally successful in gaining college scholarships at universities all over the U.S. The team will be hosting summer camps in the month of June to allow participants to try rowing for the first time.

The club is recruiting individuals who are looking for a challenge and are interested in becoming involved in one of the fastest growing high school sports in the Tulsa metropolitan area.

The summer camps are offered in the month of June and are aimed at those athletes who are beginners in the sport. The Tulsa Rowing Club coaches are trained and certified by U.S. Rowing.

Camp participants will learn basic rowing technique, boat handling and safety aspects to the sport.

Camp sessions take place from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. in the evening (first camp) and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (second Camp).

For online camp sign-up, please visit the club’s website at www.tulsajuniorsrowing.org.

The Tulsa Rowing Club is located on the west bank of the Arkansas River just north of the 21st Street Bridge.
